Mr. Kim begins with a photo of a young man taken during the 1980 Gwangju Massacre. In May 2015, right-wing commentator JEE Man-won claims that the man in the photo was the leader of approximately 600 North Korean special forces who perpetrated the Gwangju Uprising. Survivors outraged by JEE's claim of North Korea's involvement in the uprising sue JEE for defamation and distorting the history of the uprising, yet no one remembers who the man in the photo was. JOO Ok, a 56-year-old laundry woman, sees the photo at a new museum and remembers him as “Mr. Kim,” a homeless man who collected wastes in the neighborhood. Who is “Mr. Kim,” and where has he gone? Based on JOO's memory, we embark on a journey to find out the truth about “Mr. Kim.”

Seung-woo who is a 20 year veteran rock musician, form a band named ‘The Monotones’. But the firstvocal’s skill was below standard, and the second vocal has been cast in a new soap opera. Finally they meet the third vocal, Sae-young. ‘The Monotones’ hold their debut concert. ButSae-Young leaves the band, because his personality was not compatible with Seung-Woo.
