Master Class for Young Producers

Docs Port Incheon presents Masterclass for Young Producers from this year in order to foster professional producers who can play actively not only nationally, but also in international markets. This programme is for young producers who are currently planning and producing a project, or someone who are aiming to become a documentary producer in the future. Delivered over 2 days programme, this master class will invite 3 world-class producers in documentary field whom will convey practical lectures and group discussions over the course of documentary production.

Catherine Olsen
Catherine is now working as an International Documentary Consultant, Producer, Moderator, Editorial Coach & Tutor at Festivals and international workshops, including IDFA(Amsterdam), Hot Docs(Toronto), MIA Market(Rome), Docs Barcelona, Docs Port Inchedon, & Docedge(Kolkata). For 22 years, Catherine was the Commissioning Editor of the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation's "The Passionate Eye", an award-winning series specializing in political and social issues she developed into one of the most successful documentary strands in North America. Its a series she had the unique opportunity of hosting for 8 years. Catherine is also one of the founding members of the Canadian Documentary Festival Hot Docs.
Gary Byung-Seok Kam
Gary produced a multi-awards winning documentaries including Planet of Snail(2011), Breathing Underwater(2016). His recent film Crossing Beyond(the Official 2018 Winter Olympics Film / Directed by YI Seung-jun) was invited to the BIFF and the Tokyo Int’l Film Festival. While producing In the Absence(DOC NYC 2018, Short Documentary Competition), Shadow Flowers, and Touch the Colour, he is directing his first feature length film On High Ice. He also tutors at various documentary forums in Asia.
